The final Evaluation of the National Action Plan for the Implementation of the National Strategy for Improving the Position of Women and Promoting Gender Equality in the Republic of Serbia provided a good assessment of the progress made by the Government of Serbia and its key partners in the National Action Plan implementation. Evaluation produced a number of recommendations for the government and various stakeholders, with specific recommendations relevant to UN Women. Recommendations to UN Women are focused on the key aspects of future strategic orientation of UN Women in Serbia that are linked to type and scope of support provided by programme presence office. Programme presence office provide support to country on the basis of national request and UN Women capacities and target interventions in the selected impact areas. UN Women management response provides information of applicability of the recommendations and key actions UN Women undertakes to implement applicable recommendations. Few recommendations fell beyond the scope of the UN Women Serbia focus in light of the limited presence in the country linked to specific programmes of the programme presence office.
